Folios 28-31: George Miles, aged 31, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, febris continue,was of a weak habit and broken constituted by depression acknowledges that he has been [?] to the use of ardent spirits, complaining of cold along the spine and loins some headache and general soreness all over the limbs particularly the calves of the legs pulse 82 oppressed temperature 98 skin dry tongue furred and much thirst, on 1st [May?] passed a very bad night, constant delirium countenance impatient anxious, pulse 110 temperature 100 skin clammy does not complain of thirst but drinks everything offered to him had 4 loose stools during the night, the blister rose well but did not produce any evident relief no alteration in his symptoms, 15th [May?] continued in the same state as last discribed, the whole scalp was blister also the calves of the legs, put wine and [amnore cuber?] was given to rouse the system, which however progressively sunk and he was ultimately attacked with purging; put on sick list 14 April 1831, died 5 [May?] 1831, [folio 31] sectio cadavires.

Folios 33-34: Robert Reynolds, aged 28, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, febris continue, [on the night] of 7th April appears much worse as more affected with frequent purging of a watery consistance and dark colour, speaks incoherently, says he has no pain any where, on the 8th May he continued much in the same state throughout the night as described last evening but towards morning passed his stools and urine involuntary and expired suddenly; put on sick list 1 May 1831, died 8 May 1831.

Folios 36-37: Isaac Mitchel, aged 15, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, febris continue, on 13th May passed very bad night eyes suffused and heavy is dull and listless, speaks incoherently, skin clarmy, temperature 76, pulse repid and intermittent, extremities cold, at about 6 o’clock his breathing became labourous, the symptoms of dissolution fast approching and he expired at 4 o’clock, the mutinous state of the convicts added to the number of sick and other circumstances rendered my duty so extremely arduous at this period of the voyage that I was prevented from inspecting the body of this and the former fatal cases; put on sick list 4 May 1831, died 14 May 1831.
