Folio 14: William Smith, Seaman, aged 22; disease or hurt, headache, sickness at stomach, cold chills. Taken ill, 1 December 1797. Discharged to duty, 15 December 1797.

Folio 15: Michael Burn, Seaman, aged 30; disease or hurt, fractured left patella by a fall from his hammock. Taken ill, 6 December 1797, [Hamoaze]. Discharged to Plymouth Royal Hospital, 11 December 1797, fractured knee.

Folio 15: Jonathan Sanchas, Seaman, aged 29; disease or hurt, [hectic] received from the hospital ship [...] having undergone a course of mercury much debilitated with hectic [symptoms]. Taken ill, 11 December 1797. Discharged to hospital, 11 December 1797, hectic.

Folio 15: James Minton, Seaman, aged 25; disease or hurt, violent pain in his right side immediately under his heart, dry cough, difficulty in breathing. Taken ill, 12 December 1797. Discharged to Canton [Hospital Ship], 13 December 1797, pleurisy.

Folio 15: Will Burrows, Private [Marine], aged 27; disease or hurt, pain in his head, sickness at stomach, cold chills and pain between his shoulders. Taken ill, 13 December 1797. Discharged to Canton [Hospital Ship], 14 December 1797, fever. Comments that between decks is very wet cold and dirty.

Folio 16: James Harison, Landsman, aged 26, Daniel McNamara, aged 24, M[artin] Earles, Landsman, aged 19; disease or hurt, mania, idiot[ism]. Taken ill, 19 December 1797. Discharged to Canton [Hospital Ship], 19 December 1797, and invalided as unfit for employment in His Majesty's Service.

Folio 16: William Kirwin, Ship's [Corporal], aged 34; disease or hurt, contused loins, from a fall while [securing] a man committing riot between decks. Taken ill, 17 December 1797. Discharged to Canton [Hospital Ship], 19 December 1797. Comment on attending surveys of doubtful cases to prevent 'escaping from the service by imposition'.

Folio 17: Richard Connor, Seaman, aged 30; disease or hurt, head swollen and contusions all over his body. Taken ill, 19 December 1797. Discharged to Canton [Hospital Ship], 19 December 1797. Found in his bed in a public house on shore after a violent beating in an affray with some of his companions.

Folio 17: Spencer Boyd, Seaman, aged 34; disease or hurt, severe pain in upper and lower extremities with headache, much thirst. Taken ill, 20 December 1797. Discharged to Canton [Hospital Ship], 1 January 1798, rheumatism. Comments that weather is very cold and rainy, fires have been recommended between decks but are not much attended to.

Folio 18: Charles Waggoner, Seaman, aged 26; disease or hurt, severe pains all over his body particularly in the extremities. Taken ill, 1 January 1798, [Hamoaze]. Discharged to Canton [Hospital Ship], 5 January 1798, rheumatic fever.

Folio 18: George Austin, aged 30; disease or hurt, [rheumatic fever] similar symptoms to Charles Waggoner. Taken ill, 1 January 1798, [Hamoaze]. Discharged to Canton [Hospital Ship], 5 January 1798, rheumatic fever.

Folio 19: Morris [Maurice] Brenan, Seaman, aged 24; disease or hurt, fever, excruciating pains. Taken ill, 10 January 1798. Discharged to Plymouth [Hospital], 13 January 1798. Comments that this man is very prone to epileptic fits when drunk and was drunk and had a fit lasting some hours the day before being taken ill.

Folio 20: Patrick Coccoran, Seaman, aged 30; disease or hurt, diseased arm, recurrence of earlier illness. Taken ill, 13 January 1798, [Hamoaze]. Discharged to Plymouth Hospital, 13 January 1798. Comments, 'Is a wretch of a most infamous nature'.
