Folio 31: Thomas May, aged 20, landsman, taken ill off Brest; sick or hurt, small pox; taken ill on 24 August 1798, sent 30 August 1798 to Plymouth hospital.

Folio 31: William Sanson, aged 26, able seaman, taken ill off Brest; sick or hurt, ulcer on his left leg; taken ill on 25 August 1798, sent 30 August 1798 to Plymouth hospital.

Folio 31: Samuel [McDonald], aged 26, able seaman, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, scurvy; taken ill on 27 August 1798, sent 30 August 1798 to Plymouth hospital.

Folio 32: William Griffith, aged 41, able seaman, taken ill off Brest; sick or hurt, ulcer on his left ankle; taken ill on 27 August 1798, sent 6 September 1798 to Plymouth hospital.

Folio 32: Robert Lynn, aged 50, able seaman, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, cough; date taken ill [?], sent 6 September 1798 to Plymouth hospital.

Folio 32: Robert Potts, aged 45, carpenters crew, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, scurvy; taken ill on 28 August 1798, discharged 6 September 1798 to duty.

Folio 32: Edward Armstrong, aged 28, corporal marine, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, cough and hemoptoe; taken ill on 29 August 1798, sent 20 September 1798 to Plymouth hospital.

Folio 33: [Barnard] Conner, aged 40, midshipman, taken ill at Cawsand Bay; sick or hurt, cough; taken ill on 31 August 1798, sent 12 September 1798 to Plymouth hospital.

Folio 33: William Barry, aged 27, able seaman, taken ill at Cawsand Bay; sick or hurt, swelled testicle; taken ill on 2 September 1798, discharged 12 September 1798 to duty.

Folio 33: we arrived in Cawsand Bay on 30 August having been nearly 13 Weeks constantly at sea many of the ships company began to be tinted with scurvy.

Folio 33: a numerical abstract of the medical cases listed in the journal and the surgeon's general remarks about the greatest attention by the captain and officers to keep the ship clean, dry and well aired, and that ulcers were the most frequent and troublesome complaints in the ship.
