Folio 3: 8 January 1802; the ulcers are the most troublesome complaints on board, they generally afflicted the toes and feet with much pain and irritation of the part effected the treatment of these ulcered noting was found more useful than caustic of solution hydroy in nitric acid, it would be painful but generally allayed the pain and irritation.
