Folio 8: John Thompson, aged 40, able seaman; disease or hurt, has the first joint of the middle finger of his right hand bruised and lacerated by ther squeeze of a cask in stowing the hold by which a part of the flesh is almost quite detached. This man had another finger wounded in nearly a similar manner and had a pension from the Chest of Chatham which he lost and I now give him a smart ticket for this injury. Put on sick list, 23 March 1800 at the Downs. Discharged 20 May 1800 cured.
