Description

This series contains a random sample of case papers in appeals from decisions of the Comptroller General of Patents or his Chief Examiner to the Law Officers under the Patents and Design Acts in force up to 1932.

The papers contain printed copies of specifications, copies of decisions opposed and of judgements of the Law Officers, and shorthand transcripts of proceedings.

The series also includes two registers of appeals, covering the period 1921 to 1933. Among other things, these give the names of the parties and the outcome of the appeals.

Arrangement
Arrangement

The files are arranged chronologically, and the list gives the name of the inventor or firm seeking the patent, a brief description of the process or invention in dispute, the patent application number and the reference assigned to the file by the law officers.
