William Wesley Pole. James Jackson, late of HM ship Desperate, sent a petition asking, and giving reasons, to remove the R from his name, so that he can obtain his Prize money. How he is borne on the books. As he has not returned to service since his leave of absence in July 1806, nor given reason for this, and it appearing from Lieutenant Jytes' letter that his wound did not prevent his return, cannot recommend removal of the R.
