William Wesley Pole. Report on what is considered a proper salary for the respective clerks in the West Indies. Are sending details of the number of clerks employed at all the foreign yards, the salary that each presently receives and the salary proposed by the Board of Revision, together with the sum which we consider should be allowed. Have taken into account the salaries recently established for Clerks to the Officers in dockyards at home. If the proposals are approved, ask from what date the increases should commence
