William Wesley Pole. Captain Austen has sought payment of Bounty to those persons who voluntarily entered HM Ship St Alban, and we have so directed. This is the first time you have agreed Bounty be paid to persons who do not appear on the books to have attained the age specified (20 years) for this. Asks if you are aware of this. Most appear to be 19 years of age, except John Hills, who is stated as 18. Suggest Captain Austen is advised to amend the muster book to show the correct age.
