Description

William Wesley Pole. The agents of Captain Elliott have asked that a charge against him for a Kedge Anchor, supplied to a gunboat, to be removed. On 15 Aug 1806, Captain Elliott gave an order to the Boatswain of HM ship Aurora, under his command, to supply the Commander of HM Sicilian Majesty's Gunboat, now Naruto No.5, with a Kedge Anchor. The Commander of the Gunboat gave a receipt. If his Order is approved, there is no objection to removing the Imprest against him. Ask whether a claim for the value of the anchor should be made against the Sicilian Government.
