Description

William Wesley Pole. Ask whether the allowance hitherto made to Pro-Quartermen and Shipwrights, Caulkers, Trading Men of Joiners, Carpenters, Firemen at the Smithery, Leading Men of Bricklayers, Painters, Scavelmen and Labourers, for staying their breakfast and dinner times, is to be continued following the increases in pay contained in the supplement to the 6th report of Commissioners of Naval Revision. Ask for direction about the allowance to be paid to Leading Men of Sailmakers and Riggers when employed on Sundays for sleeping afloat and on pay days and if the Foremen of the Smiths are to receive the same beer allowance as previously. Ask for which periods the reduced pay in winter and summer is to commence and terminate and what allowance is to be made to warders on pay days and holidays.
