Description

William Wesley Pole. Admiral Young has asked us to take measures for securing Plymouth Dockyard in case of fire, following a fire there on 16 November. The proposals for extinguishing fires in the several Yards by General Bentham, were carried out with the exception of the laying of pipes for water and we are unaware that any further precautions can be taken beyond those adopted.
