William Wellesley Pole. Asked to investigate and report on the rope and cable making machine patented by Robert Sinclair. In response to a request for drawings and models, Mr. Sinclair has advised that he has made improvements since his original patent and that the new machinery may be inspected at the Liverpool factory.
