Hon. William Wellesley Pole. Have been asked if the accounts of William Rhodes, Purser of the Lapwing, are satisfactory. He has two accounts for slops and beds unsettled for 1800 to 1802 and 1802 to 1804. He says the issues for six months are lost and cannot be accounted for. If he had kept a slop book as is required by the 35th Article of his instructions, the issue of slops could have been charged to the men's wages but these are now a loss to the public. Cannot recommend he is offered any relief
