Commissioner Brown, Sheerness to the Board. Six gun boats, carrying a long 24-pounder forward and a carronade aft, were sent by different ships, under the command of Sir James Saumarez to the Baltic. None of these were under my charge but were sent to Vice Admiral Wells from Vice Admiral Sir H.E. Stanhope. Vessels 27 and 28 are now at Sheerness, under the charge of the Commander in Chief, who has been sent another boat, unnumbered, by Vice Admiral Sir H.E. Stanhope from the Rivers. The experimental gun boat is also ready, carrying a long 18-pounder forward and a carronade aft..
