William Wesley Pole. The agent of Robert Smith, of the Texel and Intrepid, has requested for him to be paid for the time he acted as Lieutenant on board those ships. He entered Intrepid in March 1806, on an order from Captain Sotherton, Lieutenant, and was discharged in June 1806. He entered Texel in September at Leith from the Amaranthe, not rated, and discharged in September 1807 to the Amaranthe, his proper ship. As there were regular vacancies at the time, he may be paid as Lieutenant, while he acted as such.
