Description

William Wesley Pole. The agent of Captain William King has asked for him to be paid for the time he acted as Captain on board the Diadem, by order of Commodore Sir Home Popham. How Captain King is borne on the books of the Diadem. Unless the Commissioners authorize the payment of Sir Home Popham as a Commodore having a Captain under him, there will not have been a vacancy for a Captain in the Diadem for the time Captain King acted in her.
