William Wesley Pole. The Hon. Henry Wellesley, informs the Lords of the Treasury have directed the Surveyor General of Woods to survey and report on the present state of timber in Dean Forest, and the quantity fit to be cut for Naval use beyond the quantity specified in his letter of 5 Dec. A survey of unimproving timber was also carried out in the New Forest, the result of which had been passed to Evan Nepean. If another survey is considered necessary, ask that our officers in those forests are directed to join the Director General's deputies
