Description

William Wesley Pole. Has consulted Commissioner Middleton, the Lieutenant Governor, the Commanding Officer of Engineer's Department, the Civil Architect, Boschetti and the Agent Victualler at Gibraltar, to contract for building the Victualling Storehouses, Cooperage Offices, Pier and other conveniences for provisions and stores at Rosia Bay. Opine to build according to the 1799 plan, would mean the buildings could destroy the tank. Propose an alternative plan, which has been approved by Sir Hew Dalrymple, the Lieutenant Governor. R Barton, William Shirle and J Hamilton, agree with the proposed changes to the construction and the siting of the buildings. Have noted the increase in the estimate from original plan, because of the bomb proofing of the lower storeys. Asks for directions.
