Description

William Marsden. Captain Austen asks in his memorial letter for a dispensation order to pass his accounts as Captain of the Canopus and to enable him to be paid his half pay. Muster books have been received for his time in command from March 1805 to June 1806 but no slop book, sick book or counterpart of the Boatswain's and Carpenter's accounts. We have no objection to dispense with these provided a slop book is produced before he receives his half pay. The Boatswain has passed his accounts to February only and ask for an Admiralty order
