Description

Commissioner Inglefield, Halifax, to the Board. Was advised that the cost of stationery was not included in the allowances authorised. On my arrival here, I directed the office books and stationery should be purchased from time to time at public expense as I did not consider them to be of personal benfit under the Regulations. Had not been informed the Admiralty had directed I should purchase stationery for the office from my salary.
