Description (What the record is about)

Earl of Uxbridge and the proprietors of the Anglesey Mines to the Board. A rapid fall in the price of copper ore has caused Cornish deep mines to discontinue production. The price will fall even further if the proposed import goes ahead. The miners are prepared to make sacrifices and the undersigned are authorised to offer cake copper at the low price of £140 per ton in place of the proposed import from Russia. It is hope that the Government will take into account the distressed state of the miners by preventing Russian copper finding its way into the home market
