Master Shipwright, Plymouth, to the Board. Copy letter that Mr. Blackmore, late Second Clerk has been superannuated and the 1st Clerk is frequently indisposed so there has been a great accumulation of business. The Master Shipwright's time is taken up with writing letters and other clerical duties when he is urgently needed for his proper duties. Opines none of the remaining clerks are yet capable of doing the duties of Mr. Blackmore.
