Description

William Marsden. The Agent to Mr Joseph Rands has written asking that the want of his Acting Order may be dispensed with and that he may be paid for his time as Boatswain of the Cameleon. How Mr Rands appears on the books of the Cameleon from March 1801 to September 1805, when he was paid off. Opine that he should be paid because his accounts for the period have been passed and a vacancy did exist.
