Description

William Marsden. Refer to Captain Loring`s letter concerning the decayed state and other deficiencies of the Maker Signal Tower. Refer to another letter, from the Minister and Churchwardens of Maker, expressing their consent to the proposed alterations but complaining that some of the bells had been broken by the people stationed there. Are sending copies of these letters and the Plymouth Officers` estimate of the expense repairing and altering the tower and recasting the broken bells. Ask for directions.
