Description

William Marsden. Captain Rainier has applied for dispensation for his papers in order to pass his accounts for the time he commanded the Centurion between April 1798 and March 1799. Opine dispensation may be given since the Boatswain and Carpenter have passed their accounts and the Victualling Office have received the quarterly accounts from the Captain and those of the Purser. As there is no imprest outstanding, ask whether the Captain can receive his pay without passing accounts
