Description

Mr. Dawson, Master of the Seven Brothers transport at Blackstakes. Arrived here on the 13th and is still awaiting orders. Eight of his men, William White, Henry Turnbull, William Willson, George Pope, Francis Hand, Andrew Dall, William Morgan and William Little, were taken last night by the press gang from the Squirrel by order of Admiral Roddam. He has lost his 2nd Mate, Carpenter, 3 apprentices, a sailor and two landsmen and cannot sail without them. Has applied to the Admiral for their return, unsuccessfully, and asks for orders.
