Description

Philip Stephens. An armed merchant vessel sustained damage, whilst engaging a privateer. Opine the Charter Party only provides for the owner being paid the cost, if the vessel is taken or destroyed by the enemy and the owners are to keep the ship properly fitted. They must have known at the time that such accidents are likely to happen. Opine the owners are responsible for the repair and we have written to them
