Philip Stephens. Captain Tinker has an imprest outstanding against him for bills, which he and the Storekeepers in India, drew upon us for the purchase of stores and other services. Those drawn by himself at Batavia and by Mr. Topham, whom he appointed Storekeeper at the Cape of Good Hope, have been cleared and those drawn by Mr. Maidman at Bombay and Mr. Cuthbert at Calcutta, Fort St. George and Fort William, which he countersigned as Commanding officer, Mr. Maidman has delivered in accounts for the whole and Mr. Cuthbert for the greatest part. Those wanting have been promised by Mr. Parry his agent. Propose Captain Tinker should receive his wages before the whole is finally adjusted
