Philip Stephens. Walter Coltheart has asked to be paid for the time he acted as Lieutenant of the Active by order from Vice Admiral Holburne. How he stands on the books. John Browne 1st Lieutenant of the Active is noted lent to a Prize in August 1762 and mustered with leave to November 1762, then sick on shore until February 1763 and he has been paid Personal pay to August 1762. Opine Mr. Browne should be discharged six weeks after he was sent to sick quarters and Mr. Coltheart should be borne from that time as proper Lieutenant and that as he was superceeded in his proper ship, the Aquilon, he may be paid by bill for the remainder of that time.
