John Clevland. The transports listed in the margin sailed under convoy of the Revenge to Ireland and were fitted to carry 2000 Infantry. No horse ship sailed under the same convoy but the Constant Friends, fitted at Plymouth, to carry 40 horses sailed from there under convoy of the Lion. Are sending a list of transports fitting for the Portugal service. All those at Portsmouth and Plymouth with the horse ships at Deptford will be completed this week but the rest at Deptford will take another 12 to 14 days. The ships for the Infantry complete the tonnage required for the 4000 men ordered from Belle Isle and those for the Cavalry will carry 750. Is sending a list of transports going to Germany but do not know how many more can be got. We cannot send all the baggage for Germany in the first embarkation
