Description

John Clevland. Captain Martin has written about the masts and yards of the Danae which are of the usual proportion of English frigates, except the main and foretopmasts. The Danae exceeds the proportions of other ships because of her great length which must make her weak. The Portsmouth Officers report her masts and yards are mostly unserviceable so we have directed them to make her new ones reduced, as listed overleaf,
