Description

John Clevland. One of the bills drawn by Mr. Hearne for slops has appeared and is certified by Rear Admiral Stevens. We find a contract made by Vice Admiral Pocock with John Mitchie in 1759 for supplying slops, allowed the contractor the prices paid at home so Mr. Mitchie has drawn bills which remains an imprest against him until cleared by certificates of the issues of slops on the ships' books
