Description

Thomas Corbett. James Samson, whose brother was one of the owners of the Carlisle privateer, lost in the service of the Navy, says his brother, now deceased, when the Carlisle was lost, ordered a new vessel in the service of the Navy, the Stadtholder. She is differently built from the Carlisle and cannot be hired at the same price so the negotiations to purchase her have broken down
