Description

Reports that the Nicaraguan government wished to replace the 1860 treaty with one that would repeal article vii which constituted Greytown [San Juan del Norte] Nicaragua a free port. Requests to be given information as to the British interests at Greytown and any general observations concerning the matter. Encloses a copy of a despatch from the acting consul at Greytown. Foreign Office, folios 343-354
