Folio 9: 26 May 1819; John London, pain increased considerably last night.

Folio 9: 26 May 1819; Edward Hawkins, pain abated, swelling same.

Folio 9: 26 May 1819; John Fielding, much better.

Folio 9: 27 May 1819; John London, pain in the hypochondrium increased, pulse low and weak.

Folio 9: 27 May 1819; Edward Hawkins, nearly well.

Folio 9: 27 May 1819; John Fielding, continues better.

Folio 9: 28 May 1819; John London, was easy for some time after bleeding but pain is again returned.

Folio 9: 29 May 1819; Light wind EbN [E By N] and fine weather.

Folio 9: 29 May 1819; John London, pain more troublesome in the night, pulse quick and weak, tongue foul, thirst increased, mouth sore.

Folio 9: 30 May 1819; John London, had a good night, [?] mouth sore.

Folio 10: 1 June 1819; John London, had a severe pain in the left side in the night which continued about an hour, pulse regular, mouth sore.

Folio 10: 2 June 1819; squally weather with rain, beds on deck at 7, lower deck and berth cleaned and fumigated, convicts on deck all day.

Folio 10: 2 June 1819; John Tawton, was attacked yesterday evening with hormoptysis [hemoptysis] thirty ounces of blood was taken from his arm and a great quantity was brought up from the lungs.

Folio 10: 3 June 1819; heavy rain with light wind from the east therm [thermometer] 83°. The beds stowed on the lower deck owing to the rain. Prison cleaned and fumigated at 8. Mustered the convicts and served wine to them. All on deck during the day.

Folio 10: 3 June 1819; John Tawton, a little coagulated blood was coughed up this morning slept well in the night.

Folio 10: 4 June 1819; John London, medicine operated freely and is much better.

Folio 10: 4 June 1819; John Tawton, some small pains of coagulum coughed up, pulse frequent and fuller than yesterday.

Folio 11: 8 June 1819; fine SE breeze and pleasant weather therm [thermometer] 85°, beds and convicts on deck, convicts washed their clothes, prison cleaned and fumigated.

Folio 11: 8 June 1819; The master of the ship having represented to me that 76 casks of water have been used since the ship left England and only 126 remaining which is not enough for the remainder of the passage without reducing the allowance. Sent letter directing him to proceed to Rio [de] Janeiro on [or] the Cape of Good Hope to completes the water and procure such supplies of fresh meat, vegetables and fruits as were found requisite for the convicts and guards etc.
