Description

Burchett to Dartmouth's secretaries: report from the mayor and jurats of Hastings of a French privateer having sent a boat ashore twice to two horsemen. Dated at Admiralty Office.

Burchett to Dartmouth's secretaries: the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty will send orders to Sir John Norris to send the first ship he sends to England to Tripoli to collect the person and horses the dey is sending to the queen. Dated 17 August 1710 at Admiralty Office.

Captain Robert Johnson of the Kent to commissioners of the Admiralty: his capture of the French privateer Content; he denies allegations by her crew of ill-treatment. Dated 18 August 1710 in the Hamoaze.

Burchett to Dartmouths secretaries: he sends a letter from the lords of the admiralty to Dartmouth in answer to the complaint of M. Ponchatraine, and wonders whether this, and Captain Johnson's letter, should be sent to him. Dated at Admiralty Office.
