Under the Contracts of Employment Act 1963 s4, an employee not supplied by his employer with a full written statement of his terms of employment can require the matter to be referred to an industrial tribunal. Disputes on the accuracy and sufficiency of such written statement may be referred by both employers and employees. The particulars decided upon by the tribunal have effect as if they had been included in a written statement issued by the employer.
