Harrington to Dunmore: he is to order Crauford or Stuart, whichever is to conduct the Hessians from Willemstad, to sail for the Thames or the Firth [of Forth], depending on whether the French have invaded the south of England or not. In the latter case they should first put into Newcastle or Berwick to learn the state of affairs. The Hessians should bring their field artillery with them, but no more horses than are essential.
