Description

Forwards 12 Acts of the Legislature passed during the last session [not included in volume] with a report by Attorney General J H Darrell. Also encloses the minutes of proceedings of the Privy and Legislative Councils [not included in volume]. Acts listed as:

  • No. 1 'An Act to continue the Act for the summary punishment of common assaults and batteries';
  • No. 2 'An Act to continue and amend acts for increasing the number of clergymen within these islands';
  • No. 3 'An Act to continue and amend the Act entitled An Act to prevent the destruction of cedar trees';
  • No. 4 'An Act to repeal the Act for regulating liquor shops and taverns';
  • No. 5 'An Act granting an annual sum in aid of the support of the Wesleyan ministers in these islands';
  • No. 6 'An Act for taking an account of population and agricultural stock and production';
  • No. 7 'Revenue and Appropriation Act';
  • No. 8 'An Act to authorise the erection of a causeway between the island of St George and the main island of the Bermuda Islands';
  • No. 9 'An Act to allot certain apartments in the public buildings at Hamilton heretofore used for the Custom House, to the purpose of the public library and museum';
  • No. 10 'An Act to consolidate and amend the laws relative to civil suits before Justices of the Peace';
  • No. 11 'An Act to require elections of members of the Assembly to be held elsewhere than at the parish churches';
