Description

Reports enlisting 25 recruits. Explains that no more than 1000 soldiers would be enlisted. Notes that the male population amounted to 1571 'whites' and 1981 'coloured'. Comments that the Americans would at some point try to possess the island. Suggests that discharged soldiers should be subject to being recalled.
