Description

Docket rolls recording the issue of the various judicial writs of habeas corpus by the Court of King;s Bench.

Writs of habeas corpus ad faciendum et respondendum, ad prosequendum, ad faciendum et respondendum and ad satisfaciendum seem to be the most prominent. Each entry gives the name of the county or borough in question, the person against whom the writ was issued, the type of writ, the return day on which it was to be returned and the name of the attorney who secured its issue.
