Folios 24-25. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commissioners, to John Harrop, Clerk to the Manchester Board of Guardians, acknowledging his letter and forwarding them a copy of the resolutions of the board, that the annual salary of Miss Walton, superintendent of the workhouse kitchen, to increase from £15 to £20; and that in future John Grayson, task master in the workhouse is paid 16/- weekly and board inside the workhouse with his family living outside. The Commissioners sanction the above mentioned increases.
