Letter from John Harrop, Clerk to the Guardians of the Manchester Union to the Poor Law Commissioners with a transcript of a resolution of the Board of Guardians of 23 July requesting that the Commission approve the immediate removal of Mr and Mrs Parker, Head Superintendents of the Industrial Schools, from their residence but with salary paid to end of Christmas. Annotation of AA [Alfred Austin, Assistant Commissioner] concerning the terms of remuneration on resignation.
