Crime: Loss of ship.

Verdict: Acquitted.

ff. 230, 236-239 [forename name not given] Miles, 1st Lieutenant, HMS Kent.

Royal Navy Court Martial, 9 July 1696.

Crime: Enquiry as to how HMS Kent and HMS Restoration damaged each other.

Verdict: Guilty when in command of the watch.

Sentence: Suspended from employment for one month.
