Folio 218. A letter from John Kirkland, Clerk to the Southwell Rural District Council, to the Local Government Board, acknowledging their letter of 9 March 1895 regarding sewage at Southwell. The council are considering appointing a committee to deal with the matter, which will probably be appointed at their next meeting.
The Lowdham sewerage scheme: an order has been made for a new sewer to be laid, but this has been delayed because of the recent severe weather, and the objection of an owner of land through which the sewer will pass. They are trying to come to an arrangement, and have instructed the surveyor to obtain tenders.
A committee of seven has been appointed today to consider new byelaws for new buildings. He asks that copies of model byelaws be sent for this committee.
Annotated.
