Folio 216. Letter from John Kirkland, Clerk to the Southwell Rural District Council, to the Local Government Board, stating that at a meeting of the Rural District Council on 17 May 1895 it was resolved that the council thought it was not advisable to again amalgamate with the Worksop Sanitary Authority and the Mansfield Urban Authority in a joint appointment of a Medical Officer of Health.
In a second resolution they would reappoint Dr Wills, Medical Officer of Health, at the end of his appointment in midsummer next, for the Southwell Rural District Council for 1 year to midsummer 1896 at a salary of £214.
Asks for sanction of the last resolution.
