Folio 180. Handwritten copy of a telegram sent from Melton Mowbray Post Office from F W Adamson of Epperstone, to the Local Government Board, stating there was an outbreak of Diphtheria at the worst part of Epperstone, and asking what was being done regarding the drainage in the Southwell Union.
Annotations included one stating that the diphtheria in Epperstone will be notified to the [medical officer of health] in due course 'at the present stage we may leave him to deal with it'.
