Folio 179. Letter from Charles Wills, Medical Officer of Health to the Rural Sanitary Authority of Southwell Union, to the Local Government Board, reporting that the Rural Sanitary Authority had closed Lowdham school from the 10 October 1894 for 3 weeks on account of Diphtheria at the school and other places. The cases occurred in children attending the infant school and the school authority had given instructions to builders to thoroughly clean the drains and clean out the well.
Annotated to keep the Board informed of any further outbreaks.
