Description

Inquisitions taken on dead prisoners in the King's Bench Prison at Southwark by the King's coroner and attorney, filed with related documents.

There is a major gap in the series from 1750 to 1771. The later inquisitions are on printed forms, but the earlier are handwritten. The whereabouts of inquisitions of the same kind taken after 1839 are unknown.
